SWIMMERS
WITH DISABILITIES
For a person
with a disability, the ability to swim may open up a whole new world,
a new feeling of complete freedom. Through learning swimming skills,
a person with a disability can become more independent and develop
lifelong skills to assist in health, fitness, and rehabilitation.
Most importantly, they can relax and enjoy the therapeutic benefits
that water provides.
Our instructors
have Swimming New Zealand qualifications in Teaching Swimmers with
Disabilities. Not only that, they enjoy passing on their passion
for swimming to those that may experience difficulties. It is simply
a joy to watch people grow and develop with a new-found confidence
and self-esteem gained through personal achievement in the water.
